About David Brown Owner, Impact Informatics Impact Informatics owner David Brown

Dave grew up in Westfield, NJ and graduated high school from Gill-St Bernards school in Gladstone NJ, where he was state wrestling champion.


He earned a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania.


After graduation he co-founded American Precision Products, a company which sold metals and engaged in contract machining.


He then migrated to the software field, earning a Microsoft Certified professional certification. He's developed applications for a number of different industries, including metalworking, consumer products, heating oil, travel, wireless phones, lighting and financial services. He has had consulting engagements at Warner Lambert and Merrill Lynch, where his efforts were recognized by a special award.


Dave is an amateur competive cyclist who has written his own cycling analytics application called KOM Informatics. He's had a number of podium finishes in USAC events using the software to manage his training.


In his spare time he likes to practice kickboxing and yoga, and compose music.
