Handling Missing Seconds
This topic addresses how KOM Informatics handles missing seconds from your .fit file which can cause data issues when the ride is uploaded.
To work around these problems KOM Informatics adds these seconds back in later in the load process. Physiological data such as HR and muscle oxygen is interpolated from when the ride is stopped to when it starts back up again. On the General Settings page the Stopped Ride Tolerance select list affords you some control over when the system considers the ride to be stopped. See the Getting Started -> Registration help topic for more information on Stopped Ride Tolerance.
Similarly, both HR and muscle oxygen data can suffer from dropouts even when the ride isn't missing seconds. We try to fix the dropouts as best we can again using an interpolation technique. We feel this estimate of the data is better then including zeros for it, or making you go back and fix it manually.
Please be aware that this is how the system works and carefully evaluate whether it meets your requirements.
